FIRST SNOW OF 2009

Things really have been dry in our area.
As proven by the recent terrible wild
fires in the area just a few nights ago.
So we were pleased last night as we
listened to the weather report and were
told to expect snow by morning.
One to two inches - ending about 10:00 am
One to two inches, sounded great

We woke up this morning to a beautiful
white fairy land. Everything was covered
with the white stuff.

So Quen got out his WINTER TOY
and started to make snow trails.

This is NOT what one to two inches of snow looks like.
This measured more like five to six inches of snow.

Quen cleans all his side walks and then
takes on his double driveway

Hey! this is so much fun. Why stop now.
He cleans all the neighbors sidewalks, and
then goes all the way up to the end of the
street...... WHAT A NICE GUY.

One of the things I love about Colorado winters.
The sun came out and about 12:00 and the
melting started.

don't you love those cozy stay-inside, hot-chocolate days? and i agree, it's nice that it (usually) melts when the sun comes out. although, up here, we still have the same snow on the ground we had at christmas. but up here, it stays white! love your snowblower, grandpa -- i bet your neighbors do, too! :)

I haven't seen a snow blower since we got to Poland. Here they use wooden shovels and brooms made from sticks. Dad could be the most popular man in Warsaw if he brought his toy over here.
