It was her 83rd Birthday.
No family to help her celebrate.
The other residents of the nursing home sang
"Happy Birthday"
That was all that she expected.
We are her "HOME TEACHERS"Gotta have a party.
I called her Visiting Teachers,
The Relief Socity Presidency,
a few firends,
and we had a Birthday Party.
Pink LemonadeBig yummy Cup Cakes, with sprinkles
(sugar free, because Dorcas needs that)
and
We had a shower of BIRTHDAY cards.
We surprised her with a lovely new blue sweater,
to replace the white one, she had lost.
That sweet 83 year old face, just glowed
with happiness.
I AM SO GLAD WE HAD A PARTY.

i'm so amazed every time i think you guys are 80!!! i say no way. not a day of 50.
